Clare Hammond - Play Therapist

A little about me...

Hello, my name is Clare Hammond and I’m a Certified Play Therapist and have worked with children for over 15 years as a primary teacher. I have several years experience as a SENCo and Behaviour Support Teacher. I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy and I am a Member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I am passionate about ensuring every child can be the best that they can be.

During my play therapy sessions I make a point of creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and able to express their worries and fears.

I work with children who are dealing with attachment disorders,  bereavement, separation, divorce, anger, fear, anxiety, bullying and much more.

I am now offering supportive, informative and fun sessions for families. I can work with families on managing and understanding difficult behaviours and learning together how to reconnect and have fun!

As well as completing Developmental Dyadic Pyschotherapy/Parenting Level 1. I am an accredited Heart to Heart and Baby Bonding practitioner. Heart to Heart is a fun and relaxed attachment program for parents/carers to attend with their children. Baby Bonding is a relaxed session for babies and toddlers with their cares.
